At many of our communities, San Diego Interfaith Housing Foundation offers specialized services for families and seniors. Families benefit from a variety of classes and programs designed to assist and support parents and engage their children. Seniors enjoy resources and activities tailored to promote friendship and an active independent lifestyle.
We believe continuing adult education is important which is why we provide onsite classes such as computer training, ESL, nutrition education and job skill training.
Our onsite after-school program and special events provide a fun safe environment for children to learn and develop into positive leaders. Homework help, tutoring, art and other recreational activities are available.
The services provided in San Diego for seniors and adults with disabilities can seem overwhelming and overly complex. Our Resident Service Coordinator can provide a helpful ear and thoughtful guidance with referrals for home meal delivery, transportation programs, home safety equipment, Medicare enrollment assistance, and much, much more.
Our residents benefit from regular on-site presentations given by local service providers such as the UCSD Pharmacy School, Neighborhood House, County Aging & Independence Services, just to name a few.
